Thrifting

I'd rather find one genuinely good piece than buy five forgettable new ones. Thrifting is slower and less predictable than regular shopping, and that's the whole appeal โ€” you can't just search for what you want, you have to actually go looking for it.

There's a patience to it that reminds me of design work โ€” sorting through a lot of "no" before something clicks. And when it does click, it usually means more, because you know you won't see the exact same thing on anyone else.

It's also just a better way to shop, honestly. Buying secondhand first has quietly become the default for most of my wardrobe, and the hunting part turned out to be more fun than I expected.

A vintage denim jacket that somehow fit perfectly on the first try.
