Baking
Baking is the one hobby that forces me to slow all the way down, which is exactly why I need it during a busy design week. There's no skipping steps — you measure, you wait, you test, and the oven doesn't care how close your deadline is.
It scratches the same itch as prototyping, honestly. A recipe is just someone else's first draft, and every time I bake it I'm quietly running my own tests — a little less sugar, a little more time in the fridge, see what changes. Most of it is trial and error with good snacks as the byproduct.
Weekends are usually when it happens, often with a playlist going and flour somewhere it shouldn't be. Cookies are the reliable favorite — easy enough to make often, forgiving enough to experiment on.
Brown butter chocolate chip cookies — still tweaking the ratio of chunks to dough.
